Trillo Metals is a growing New Zealand-owned recycling business with a strong reputation for great service and long-term customer relationships. We're a practical, down-to-earth team that takes pride in doing things well, supporting each other and looking after our people.
We're looking for a reliable and hardworking Yardperson / Forklift Driver to join our small, tight-knit team in Richmond.
This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being active, working outdoors and getting stuck in. You'll help keep our busy yard organised, safe and running efficiently.
Your day-to-day will include:- Loading and unloading trucks and customer vehicles
- Operating a forklift and other processing equipment
- Moving, sorting and processing recyclable materials
- Keeping the yard organised, clean and safe
- Assisting customers visiting the yard
- Helping with general yard duties as required
- Following all health and safety procedures
To be considered, you'll need:- A full and current NZ Class 1 Driver Licence
- A good work ethic and reliable attitude
- To be physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
- Good communication skills
- A strong commitment to health and safety
- The ability to work well as part of a small team
A forklift licence and F Endorsement would be an advantage, but they're not essential. All relevant training can be provided to the right person, so attitude and willingness to learn are just as important as previous experience.
What we can offer you:- $27-$30 per hour, depending on skills and experience
- Regular opportunities for overtime
- Stable, full-time employment
- Monday-Friday hours of 8:00am-4:30pm
- Saturday work from 8:00am-12:00pm when required
