Trillo Metals is a growing New Zealand-owned recycling business with a strong reputation for great service and long-term customer relationships. We're a practical, hands-on team that takes pride in doing things well, supporting each other and looking after our people.
We're looking for a reliable Truck Driver / Yardperson to join our small, tight-knit team in Richmond.
This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll operate our collection truck, travel to customer sites throughout the region to collect recyclable materials, and assist with yard duties when required.
Your day-to-day will include:- Driving our collection truck to customer sites
- Safely loading and securing recyclable materials
- Completing collections efficiently and professionally
- Delivering collected material back to our Richmond yard
- Operating forklifts and other equipment as required
- Assisting with general yard and processing duties
- Providing friendly, professional service to our customers
- Following all health and safety procedures
To be considered, you'll need:- A full and current NZ Class 4 Driver Licence
- A strong work ethic and reliable approach
- Good communication and customer service skills
- A commitment to working safely
- The physical fitness to undertake the hands-on aspects of the role
An F Endorsement would be an advantage but isn't essential, and full training will be provided to the right candidate. Previous experience in metal recycling, transport or the heavy vehicle industry would also be beneficial.
What we can offer you:- $30-$35 per hour, depending on skills and experience
- Regular opportunities for overtime
- Stable, full-time employment
- Monday-Friday hours of 8:00am-4:30pm
- Saturday work from 8:00am-12:00pm when required
- A friendly and supportive team environment
- Training and opportunities to develop new skills
- Career progression as the business continues to grow
- A varied role with plenty of customer interaction
- The opportunity to be part of a growing NZ recycling business and contribute to a more sustainable future
If you're a capable Class 4 driver who enjoys a varied, hands-on role and being part of a down-to-earth team, we'd like to hear from you.
