    • Brook Carr Building is a small to medium size company undertaking new home builds and renovations mainly in the Cromwell area. We specialise in architectural new homes, extensions and renovations throughout Cromwell and the wider Central Otago region. We're known for quality workmanship, attention to detail and delivering projects we're proud to put our name to.

    We're now looking for an experienced and qualified Carpenter to join our team.

    This is a great opportunity for someone who takes genuine pride in their work, enjoys variety and is looking to settle into a long-term role in Cromwell/Central Otago.

    This is perfect for someone looking to up skill or someone after a change of scenery.

    About the Role

    You'll work across a variety of quality residential projects, including:
    • Architectural new builds
    • Extensions
    • Renovations
    • High-quality residential construction
    We're looking for someone who is confident working independently, can use their initiative and is equally comfortable working as part of a team.

    While the role is primarily for an experienced carpenter, there is genuine opportunity to take on more responsibility over time. For the right person, this could develop into running jobs or progressing towards a foreman-type role.

    About You

    You don't need to be looking for a management position right now - we're primarily looking for a great carpenter who wants to become a valued, long-term member of the team.

    To be successful you will be:
    • An experienced and confident Carpenter
    • A quality-focused tradesperson who takes pride in their workmanship
    • Reliable, organised and committed to getting the job done properly
    • Comfortable working independently and using your own initiative
    • A strong team player with good communication skills
    • Experienced across new builds, extensions and renovations
    • Someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards
    • Ambitious to develop your skills and take on greater responsibility over time
    • The holder of a current full NZ Driver Licence
    Most importantly, we're looking for someone with a strong work ethic, good attitude and a genuine interest in building a long-term future with the business.

    Ideally, we're looking for someone to start early in the New Year, however we're flexible on the start date for the right person.
