  • Learn valuable heat press and production skills
  • Training, progression opportunities + great staff benefits
  • Join an established 100% Kiwi-owned business

  • Active Safety is a 100% Kiwi-owned and operated business supplying safety gear and uniforms to customers throughout New Zealand. We're well established, growing, and focused on providing practical solutions with genuine care, accuracy and speed.

We're looking for a Store Person | Heat Press Applicator to join our Albany team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is a varied, hands-on role combining warehousing and heat press application. Working alongside our Distribution Centre Manager and a team of three, you'll play an important role in taking customer orders through the warehouse and production process, right through to a finished, branded product ready for dispatch.

You'll receive full training on our heat press equipment and processes, so no previous heat press experience is required.

What we're really looking for is someone with a can-do attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn. If you're reliable, self-motivated and take pride in getting things right, we can teach you the rest.

    About The Role

Your role will include a mix of warehouse and production responsibilities, including:
    • Picking, packing and dispatching customer orders
    • Receiving and checking incoming stock
    • Maintaining accurate stock levels and completing cycle counts
    • Keeping the warehouse organised, tidy and safe
    • Using our NetSuite system for stock and order management
    • Applying branding to customer garments using heat press equipment
    • Working from customer artwork and job specifications
    • Completing pre- and post-production preparation
    • Preparing finished products for packaging and dispatch
    • Supporting customer proof and production requirements
    • Helping your teammates during busy periods
It's a role where no two days are exactly the same, and you'll be part of a small team where everyone pitches in and gets the job done.

    About You

We're looking for someone who is motivated, practical and takes pride in their work.

    You'll ideally have:
    • A can-do attitude and self-motivated approach
    • A strong work ethic and reliable approach
    • Good attention to detail and pride in getting things right
    • Strong organisational and time-management skills
    • The ability to multitask and think on your feet
    • Good PC literacy and confidence learning new systems
    • The ability to work closely as part of a small, hands-on team
    • Good physical fitness - the role involves being on your feet and lifting up to 25kg
    • A willingness to learn new skills and take on responsibility
    • Previous warehousing experience is an advantage but not essential.
Experience using a warehouse management system, CRM or similar software would be a real plus. We use NetSuite, but full training will be provided.

Most importantly, we're looking for the right person - someone who is keen, reliable, willing to learn and ready to get stuck in.

    What's on Offer?:
    • Full-time, permanent position
    • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
    • Regular weekday hours
    • Full training provided
    • Learn valuable heat press and production skills
    • Supportive and positive team culture
    • Genuine opportunities for career progression
    • Free parking
    • Free coffee and tea
    • Work alongside a close-knit team where everyone contributes
    • The opportunity to grow with a successful New Zealand-owned business
If you're organised, physically capable, self-motivated and ready to get stuck in, we'd love to hear from you.
