We are actively seeking experienced tradesmen as Leading Hands looking for a new challenge in commercial and recreational aluminium boat building meeting the needs of a growing marine industry in New Zealand.
Successful Applicants will be joining the team in our new build program getting started in the coming months.
Functions and Responsibilities:- Leading a team
- Fabrication and exterior fitout
- Apprentice mentoring
- Work to achieve targets and budgets
- Complete tasks in accordance with company procedures
- Meet health and safety obligations in the workplace
- Responsibility for project supervision
Applicants should:- Have a good understanding of Aluminium boat construction.
- Be self-motivated and have a high standard of workmanship.
- Work well in a team environment.
- Be competent in understanding plans and specifications plus being able to communicate tasks to staff.
- Have good communication skills in both verbal and written English.
- Have an NZQA Level 4 qualification or equivalent in Aluminium Boat building, or minimum 10 years relevant work experience.
- Currently reside in New Zealand and have NZ citizenship, residency, or a valid NZ work visa.
