We are looking for the right person to join our team at Best Car Rentals in Queenstown. This is a hands-on Duty Manager role for someone who is reliable, switched on, confident with customers and happy to get involved wherever needed.
Experience is welcome, but attitude is more important. We are happy to train the right person. Previous car rental experience and experience with Rental Car Manager (RCM) would be an advantage, but are not essential.
About the role:- Looking after customers, bookings, rental agreements and payments
- Helping organise fleet availability, vehicle allocations and daily vehicle movements
- Confidently upselling vehicle upgrades, extras and insurance products
- Handling customer enquiries and resolving day-to-day issues
- Supporting the team and helping keep the branch running smoothly
- Driving our airport shuttle when required
- Moving vehicles around Queenstown when required
- Cleaning and grooming rental vehicles when required
- Carrying out vehicle checks at pickup and return
- Using initiative and taking responsibility for day-to-day operational decisions
Who we are looking for:- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Reliable, organised and able to use initiative
- Confident dealing with customers and comfortable with sales
- Able to stay calm and make sensible decisions in a busy environment
- Happy to work as part of a small, hands-on team
- Willing to help with everything from customer service to vehicle grooming
- Comfortable learning new systems and taking on more responsibility over time
Requirements:- Full valid driver licence
- Open work rights in New Zealand
- Confident and comfortable driving a passenger shuttle
