Martinborough Roofing & Spouting is a well-established, locally owned roofing company with a strong customer base and a great reputation for quality workmanship.
We're looking for an experienced Roofing Foreman / Leading Hand to join our team - someone who knows roofing inside and out, takes pride in their work, and can confidently run jobs from start to finish.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can organise a job, lead a crew, solve problems as they arise, and make sure the work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
What you'll be responsible for:- Running roofing projects from start to finish
- Organising and leading your crew on site
- Reading plans and working out the best approach to each job
- Managing day-to-day site requirements and keeping jobs moving
- Liaising professionally with customers, builders and other trades
- Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
- Problem-solving on site and making decisions when things don't go to plan
- Completing quality flashings and roof installations
- Installing cladding
- Working across new builds, maintenance and renovation projects
- Keeping the team productive, organised and accountable
About you
We're looking for someone who is reliable, organised and takes ownership.
You will ideally have:- Solid roofing experience and a proven track record in the trade
- Experience leading a crew or running roofing jobs
- The ability to confidently manage a job from start to finish
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
- Good communication and people skills
- The ability to work independently and make decisions
- A practical, can-do attitude and good problem-solving skills
- The ability to lead by example and get the best out of your team
- A current, full NZ Driver Licence
