    • An exciting opportunity has opened for an Assistant Manager at our Papanui store - Pushbikes' head office - serving Christchurch and the wider Canterbury community.

    As Assistant Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the store. You'll provide vital support to the Store Manager, oversee the shop when they're not present, and assist with leadership when they are. You'll also be a key point of contact for our loyal customer base, delivering exceptional service, and handling inquiries and orders from our digital channels, helping to integrate our online and in-store experiences. Being based at head office, you'll also get some hands-on exposure to our web orders operation, lending a hand with processing online orders during quieter periods in-store.

    What You'll Need:
    • Proven retail sales experience, with strong customer-facing service skills.
    • Demonstrated leadership and initiative, with the ability to guide, support, and motivate a team.
    • Time spent riding and around bikes, with a solid working understanding of them.
    • Solid understanding of digital systems and point-of-sale technology.
    • Good inventory and stock management skills, including ordering, receipting, and identifying sales trends.
    • A sharp eye for store presentation, display, and cleanliness.
    Nice to Have (We'll Help You Build These):
    • Practical workshop and technical skills, including experience working on bikes.
    • Product knowledge, or a genuine willingness to build it quickly.
