Are you a trade-qualified Joiner who takes pride in top-tier craftsmanship?
At HR Jones, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality joinery, from bespoke timber windows and complex exterior stairs to custom kitchens and detailed commercial cabinetry. We are looking for an experienced Craftsman Joiner to join our team.
If you thrive in a variety-filled role that spans both factory machining and on-site installation, and you enjoy working independently while supporting a solid team, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing:- Machining & Production: Taking rough-sawn timber through to finished custom profiles using a full suite of factory machinery (spindle moulders, tenoners, saws, edgebanders, etc.).
- Exterior & Interior Joinery: Crafting custom doors, sashes, single/double glazed frames, interior timber doors, borrowed lights, and custom staircases with balustrades.
- Cabinetry & Fitouts: Assembling and installing custom kitchens, reception counters, bars, vanities, wardrobes, and specialized commercial fitments.
- Mentorship & Site Work: Supporting site installations, assisting trade partners, and mentoring our up-and-coming apprentices.
What We're Looking For:- Experience & Skill: A trade qualification or proven experience as a Craftsman Joiner with the ability to work unsupervised to high industry standards.
- Machine Mastery: Complete confidence setting up, operating, maintaining, and sharpening a comprehensive range of woodworking machines safely.
- Tools of the Trade: Your own complete, well-maintained hand tool kit.
- Mindset & Communication: Great attention to detail, strong communication skills, reliability, and a clean, professional approach when dealing with clients on-site.
- Safety First: A proactive approach to Health & Safety, keeping dust extraction systems running efficiently and maintaining a safe workspace.
