  • Want a machining role with real variety?
  • Opportunities to grow your skills
  • Stable, growing NZ-owned business

  • Supply Services is a NZ-owned engineering business specialising in high-performance plastics and precision-machined components for industrial and engineering applications. A growing market leader with continued investment in new machine tools.

We're growing and looking for a highly experienced machinist to join our team in Mount Maunganui.

This is a jobbing manufacturing environment, so the work is varied and hands-on.

This role is suited to an experienced machinist who can independently take a component from customer drawing or CAD model through to a finished, quality-assured part. You'll determine the machining strategy, program the machine, design and manufacture any required fixturing, select tooling, complete machine setup, produce first-offs, and work with your colleagues to verify quality before production proceeds.

    What you'll be doing:
    • CNC turning, milling and routing
    • Programming, setup and operation of manual and multi-axis CNC machine tools
    • CAM programming
    • Precision machining of engineering plastics
    • Some composite and metal machining
    • Jobbing and small-batch manufacturing
    • Working to tight tolerances and quality standards
    What we're looking for:
    • Hold a trade qualification in machining, fitting & turning, or an equivalent engineering trade
    • Have extensive experience with both manual machining and advanced CNC machining
    • Be highly competent programming, setting and operating multi-axis CNC machine tools, including 4-axis, 5-axis and Y-axis mill-turn machines
    • Be capable of independently developing machining strategies from customer drawings and CAD models
    • Have proven experience designing and manufacturing fixtures and workholding solutions for complex machining applications
    • Have a strong understanding of cutting tool selection, machining parameters and process optimisation across a wide range of engineering plastics, composites and metals
    • Be able to independently progress jobs from customer drawings or CAD models through to a quality-verified first-off with minimal supervision
    • Take pride in producing accurate, high-quality work while maintaining safe and efficient machining practices
    • Have experience coaching, training and developing apprentices
    • Be a practical, solutions-focused problem solver with a strong commitment to continuous improvement
    Why join us?:
    • Varied work - not repetitive production machining
    • Overtime opportunities at time-and-a-half
    • Stable, growing NZ-owned business
    • Supportive and experienced team
    • Modern equipment and interesting work
Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 6:00am start, with overtime available when required.

    Interested?

If you're looking for a role where you can apply your experience across a wide variety of technically challenging machining work, we'd like to hear from you.

A pre-employment medical assessment and drug test are required for this role.

Applicants for this position MUST be a permanent NZ resident.
