Are you a reliable and hardworking driver looking for a varied role where no two days are the same?
Tracks, based in Whakatane, is looking for you! We are a dynamic and growing company, committed to delivering top-notch civil construction solutions across Eastern Bay of Plenty.
This is a hands-on position that combines all types of driving with general labouring duties across our civil construction, traffic management and concrete operations. You'll be transporting materials, equipment and machinery to and from sites, assisting our crews on the ground, and helping keep projects running efficiently.
Position: Driver / Labourer Location: Whakatane, New Zealand
Key Responsibilities:- Safely operate company vehicles (Class 1-5, depending on licence held).
- Must conduct daily pre-start vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues.
- Must keep vehicles and equipment clean, tidy and well maintained.
- Cart a variety of materials, plant and equipment to and from work sites.
- Load and unload vehicles safely and securely.
- Assist with general labouring duties on civil construction, maintenance and/or TTM projects.
- Complete delivery dockets, logbooks and other required documentation accurately.
- Follow all company policies, procedures and health & safety requirements.
- Carry out site hazard assessments and implement appropriate controls.
- Be available for early starts when required (some days commencing from 5:00 am).
Skills & Experience:- Current New Zealand Class 5 driver's licence.
- Previous experience driving trucks within the civil construction, transport or related industries.
- A willingness to assist with labouring and work as part of the site crew.
- Wheels, Tracks and Rollers (WTR) endorsement is advantageous.
- BESS qualification is preferred but not essential.
- Strong understanding of road transport and health & safety requirements.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Reliable, punctual and motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual labour.
- NZ residency or a valid New Zealand work visa.
