Executive Laundry Group Ltd is one of the Wellington region's leading commercial laundries, proudly servicing the hospitality, healthcare and accommodation sectors for over 25 years.
As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced and highly organised Office Manager to oversee our administration and finance functions. This is a varied, hands-on sole-charge role that will suit someone who enjoys taking ownership, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a strong eye for detail.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the General Manager and Managing Director, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our office and administration functions while ensuring the smooth operation of payroll, finance and business support activities.
This is a sole-charge office position, requiring someone who is confident working independently, managing multiple priorities, and taking ownership of the administrative and financial functions of the business. You will work closely with our external accountant and management team while being the primary point of contact for all office administration.
Key Responsibilities:- End-to-end payroll processing
- Preparing and maintaining employee rosters
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Processing supplier payments and customer receipts
- Bank reconciliations
- Preparing financial information for the external accountant
- Coordinating GST, PAYE and other tax payments, ensuring all obligations are processed accurately and paid by the required due dates
- Assisting with month-end and year-end financial processes
- Credit control and debtor management
- Maintaining accurate financial and employee records
- HR administration, including onboarding and employment documentation
- Managing office systems and administrative processes
- Providing support to the management team across a range of business activities
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:- Previous experience as an Office Manager, Finance Administrator or similar senior administration role
- Experience working in a sole-charge administration or finance role would be highly regarded
- Strong payroll experience (Employment Hero experience would be highly regarded)
- A sound understanding of accounting principles and financial administration
- Experience coordinating GST, PAYE and other tax obligations and ensuring payments are made accurately and on time
- Excellent organisational, time management and communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
