    As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Operations & Events Manager to become a key leader within our business. Working closely with the Managing Director, you'll take ownership of our day-to-day operations, logistics and events, ensuring every order and event is delivered to the high standard we're known for.

    About the Role

    This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing our catering operation from order through to delivery and event execution.

    You'll ensure our kitchen, logistics and event teams work seamlessly together while maintaining exceptional quality, customer service and operational efficiency.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Operations
      - Manage and assist in daily catering operations from order through to dispatch and delivery
      - Coordinate kitchen production with delivery schedules and event requirements
      - Ensure every order is accurate, presented professionally and delivered on time
      - Develop systems and processes that improve efficiency and accountability
      - Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges
    • Events
      - Plan and oversee conferences, corporate functions, weddings, sporting events and special events
      - Coordinate event logistics from planning through to setup and pack-down
      - Lead event teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences
      - Act as the primary operational contact for clients
    • Leadership
      - Lead, coach and support delivery, event and front-of-house teams
      - Assist with recruitment, training, rostering and performance management
      - Conduct daily operational briefings and create a positive team culture
    • Logistics & Customer Service
      - Coordinate delivery schedules, drivers and vehicles
      - Manage catering equipment and operational assets
      - Build strong relationships with clients and suppliers
      - Respond confidently to changing priorities and customer requests
    • Administration & Continuous Improvement
      - Maintain operational records, schedules and event plans
      - Support Health & Safety, food safety and compliance requirements
      - Recommend improvements to systems, logistics and operational performance
    About You

    We are looking for confident leader who enjoys taking ownership and delivering results in a fast-moving environment.

    You'll demonstrate:
    • Previous leadership or management experience
    • Experience in catering, hospitality, events, food production, logistics, hotel operations or a similar service-based business
    • A full New Zealand Driver Licence
    • Excellent organisational and communication skills
    • The ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure
    • Strong commercial awareness and a customer-first mindset
    • Confidence using rostering, scheduling and operational systems
    • An understanding of how AI and technology can improve operational efficiency
    • A good level of physical fitness to handle the physical, hands on nature of the role
    Advantageous but not essential:
    • Food Safety, First Aid or Health & Safety qualifications
    • Experience with Flex Catering or similar catering management systems
