  • Join a family-owned, third generation business
  • 6 month fixed term role
  • Varied, hands-on work in a supportive team environment

  • Looking for a hands-on role where no two days are the same?

We're looking for a reliable, hardworking Labourer to join our Seed Store team.

If you're someone who enjoys staying active, working as part of a team, and pitching in wherever you're needed, this could be the opportunity for you. No previous experience is required - we're looking for someone with the right attitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.

You'll play an important role in keeping our operations running efficiently by supporting our Seed Store team across a variety of tasks throughout the day.

    About the Role

Working Monday to Friday (80 hours per fortnight), you'll provide general labouring support across our Seed Store, helping improve production while maintaining the high quality and service standards we're known for. Weekends and extra hours are available during busy periods.

This is a great opportunity to join our team in a fixed-term capacity, with the possibility of a permanent position becoming available in the future, depending on business growth and operational requirements.

Our work is seasonal and fast-paced, so you'll enjoy a varied role where priorities can change throughout the day. Rather than doing the same task every day, you'll have the opportunity to work across different areas of the operation and learn new skills.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Follow a strong safety-first approach at all times
    • Bag seed and frequently handle 25kg bags
    • Assist with loading shipping containers
    • Support intake by unloading and labelling seed
    • Assist operators with production and machine clean downs
    • Carry out general labouring duties as directed
    About You:
    • Keen to learn with a positive, can-do attitude
    • Physically fit and capable of repeatedly lifting 25kg bags
    • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where priorities change
    • Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious
    • Willing to get your hands dirty in a dusty working environment
    • Maintain a tidy workspace
Previous experience in manufacturing, warehousing, agriculture or general labouring is beneficial, but not required. We're happy to train someone with the right attitude.

    Why Join Us?:
    • Join a family-owned, third generation business
    • Full-time, stable employment with additional seasonal hours available
    • Supportive, close-knit team environment
    • Opportunity to learn new skills across different areas of the business
    • Varied work where no two days are the same
    • Be part of an essential industry supporting New Zealand agriculture
If you're dependable, hardworking, and enjoy a role that keeps you active and challenged, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply now and become part of our team.
