Ross Reid Contractors Ltd is seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to lead a new project based in the Wānaka region.
This is a senior position with responsibility for the planning, management and successful delivery of the project. You will oversee site operations, project programmes, financial performance, subcontractors, HSEQ compliance and stakeholder communication.
About the Role
Key responsibilities will include:- Planning and managing the project from commencement through to completion
- Developing and maintaining construction programmes
- Managing employees, subcontractors, plant, materials and site resources
- Monitoring project costs, claims, variations and overall financial performance
- Preparing monthly project reports, claims and supporting documentation
- Managing client, consultant and stakeholder relationships
- Ensuring subcontractors meet contractual and HSEQ requirements
- Implementing project-specific health, safety, environmental and quality plans
- Monitoring inspection and test plans, hold points and quality documentation
- Identifying and resolving contractual, programme and construction issues
- Ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time and within budget
About You
The successful applicant will have:- Proven Project Management experience in civil construction, earthworks, drainage or infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of New Zealand construction contracts and the Construction Contracts Act
- Experience managing project budgets, claims, variations and job costing
- Strong leadership and subcontractor management skills
- Excellent communication, planning and organisational ability
- A sound understanding of health, safety, environmental and quality requirements
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines
- A current New Zealand driver licence
- The legal right to work in New Zealand
