    Canterbury Feed Assessment Ltd is a leading agricultural laboratory and field services company based in Ashburton. We work alongside farmers, rural professionals, and agricultural businesses throughout New Zealand, providing feed, soil, plant and water testing, along with our Soil Rx precision soil sampling service.

    We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and customer-focused Customer Services & Operations Co-ordinator to join our growing team.

    This is a key role within our business, acting as the first point of contact for customers while coordinating our field services and supporting the smooth operation of the office and laboratory.

    About the Role

    No two days are the same. You'll be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service while coordinating field jobs, supporting our laboratory team, and ensuring office operations run efficiently.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Provide exceptional customer service by phone, email and in person.
    • Coordinate bookings and scheduling for our soil sampling and field service teams.
    • Prepare daily job schedules and job sheets.
    • Enter customer information and job details accurately into our management systems.
    • Assist with laboratory administration and reporting.
    • Process customer enquiries and provide quotations where required.
    • Invoicing and general office administration.
    • Maintain accurate records and filing systems.
    • Help ensure the office presents a professional and welcoming environment.
    About You

    You'll be someone who enjoys dealing with people, thrives in a busy environment, and takes pride in being organised.

    You'll ideally have:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Outstanding customer service skills.
    • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
    • High attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word.
    • The ability to prioritise completing tasks.
    • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
    • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Previous administration, customer service, scheduling or reception experience (preferred but not essential).
    • An interest in agriculture or the rural sector would be an advantage.
