    • We require a Health Care Assistant / Surgical Assistant to join our rapidly growing team.

    Previous experience within the General Practice / Medical industry will be highly regarded. However, if you have proven experience in customer-facing roles and are passionate about helping people, we'd also like to hear from you!

    We currently have one permanent position available, offering 37.5 hours per week, working 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday.

    This is not your usual Health Care Assistant role. There is very little direct patient care. The primary purpose of this role is to provide assistance to the Clinical Practice team with day-to-day duties.

    This is a unique role with varying responsibilities and is best suited to someone who enjoys a diverse workload and is comfortable working independently rather than remaining in one place for long periods.

    The role is very hands-on and includes:
    • Working across multiple sites as required
    • Surgical assistance
    • Autoclaving surgical instruments
    • Problem solving
    • Phone duties
    • Restocking
    • Ordering medical supplies
    • Cleaning
    • Building compliance checks and audits
    • Administration duties
    • Health target assistance
    • Chaperoning with the clinical team
    Our ideal candidate will have:
    • Previous experience in a customer-facing role or within a General Practice / medical environment
    • Confident computer skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems
    • The flexibility to work across our sites as required
    This position will be rostered primarily at SkinSafe Orewa; however, you will be required to work at Silverdale Medical when the roster requires.

    Remuneration will be aligned with the skills and experience you bring to the role.
