We are looking for a motivated Homestaging Assistant / Truck Driver to join our dynamic logistics and staging team at Stage It by Comber and Comber.
About the Role
You'll play a key part in our end-to-end staging process - from loading and transporting our extensive range of quality furniture and accessories, to onsite set-up and installation. This is a physical, varied role that combines truck driving, teamwork, and an eye for detail in residential, commercial, show homes, and other properties across central Canterbury.
Key Responsibilities:- Safely drive our company truck/van to and from client properties (Class 1 licence).
- Pack, load, unload, and transport furniture, decor, and staging items.
- Assist our designers with professional installation and arrangement of home stages - furniture placement, cleaning and helping with finishing touches.
- Help with warehouse operations: packing, unpacking, inventory management, and maintaining our stock in excellent condition.
- Work closely with our design team to deliver high-quality staging on tight timelines.
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest standard, with attention to detail and care for client properties.
What We're Looking For:- A Class 1 Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.
- Physically fit with no historical injuries and capable of heavy lifting and manual handling.
- Previous experience in logistics, removals, delivery, or warehousing is a plus.
- A positive, can-do attitude and strong teamwork skills.
- Reliability, punctuality, and pride in delivering excellent results.
- An interest in interior design, styling, or property presentation is highly desirable (training provided).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional early starts or longer days during busy periods.
