Farmchief Machinery is looking for an experienced Service Technician to join our Invercargill team.
No two days are the same. From diagnosing machinery using electronic systems, to fabricating, welding or carrying out repairs in the workshop - or heading out to help a customer get back up and running in the field.
We're a hardworking team that enjoys a laugh, backs each other up, and believes good people deserve to work in a place where they're appreciated.
What you'll be doing
You'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of agricultural machinery, including:- Diagnostics and fault finding
- Servicing and preventative maintenance
- Mechanical repairs
- Fabrication and welding
- Hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting
- Using electronic diagnostic software and calibration systems
- Field service work when required
- Communicating with customers and keeping them updated throughout repairs
- Ordering parts and completing accurate service records
What we're looking for
You're someone who enjoys getting stuck in and takes pride in quality workmanship. Ideally you'll have:- Experience working on agricultural, heavy diesel, construction or similar machinery
- Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills
- Fabrication and welding experience
- A practical, solutions-focused approach
- The ability to work independently while being a great team player
- A commitment to quality workmanship and customer service
- A current full driver's licence
Most importantly, you'll be someone who enjoys the challenge of keeping machinery working when it matters most.
