Are you an experienced Workshop Controller or Foreman ready to take the next step in your career?
Euromarque is looking for an organised and proactive Workshop Controller to lead the day-to-day operations of our busy Christchurch workshop. Working 45 hours per week in a modern, well-equipped facility, you'll play a key role in ensuring the efficient flow of work through the workshop while supporting a team servicing a wide range of passenger and EV vehicles.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a progressive dealership group where you'll work closely with the Service Manager, technicians, and service advisors to deliver exceptional customer service, maximise workshop productivity, and maintain the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate and prioritise daily workshop workflow to maximise efficiency and productivity
- Allocate repair orders to technicians based on skill level and workload
- Monitor work progress and ensure jobs are completed within agreed timeframes
- Provide technical support and guidance to technicians where required
- Ensure all repairs are completed to manufacturer standards and workshop quality expectations
- Liaise with the Service Advisors regarding job progress, additional work, and completion times
- Maintain accurate workshop documentation and repair order processes
- Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment
- Support ongoing technician development and manufacturer training initiatives
To be successful, you'll have:- Previous experience as a Workshop Controller, Foreman, or Senior Automotive Technician
- A National Certificate in Automotive Engineering (Level 4) or equivalent qualification
- Strong technical knowledge with excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and coordinate a busy workshop team
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments
- Experience working with a variety of vehicle makes and models
- A full, clean New Zealand driver's licence
- A commitment to delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining high workmanship standards
