  • Bay Marine Electronics Ltd is one of New Zealand's leading marine electronics specialists. We supply, install and support the latest marine technology from industry-leading manufacturers including Garmin, Furuno, Simrad and Minn Kota.

    We're currently looking for an energetic, self-motivated Parts & Sales Coordinator to become a key member of our growing team.

    This is far more than a retail sales position. You'll be responsible for managing approximately $250,000 worth of inventory, supporting our installation technicians with the right equipment at the right time, and developing sales opportunities through our existing customer database and marketing initiatives.

    The Role

    Your responsibilities will include:
    • Managing and maintaining company inventory and stock levels.
    • Processing customer enquiries from our showroom, phone and email.
    • Building relationships with existing customers and identifying new sales opportunities.
    • Following up quotations and converting enquiries into sales.
    • Supporting our technicians by ensuring installation parts and equipment are available when required.
    • Working with company marketing campaigns to generate additional business.
    • Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, streamline processes and maximise profitability.
    • Upselling complementary products and providing excellent customer service.
    About You

    We're looking for someone who:
    • Is a genuine self-starter with excellent initiative.
    • Has strong organisational and time management skills.
    • Enjoys building relationships and closing sales.
    • Is proactive and always looking for ways to improve business performance.
    • Can work independently while contributing to a close-knit team.
    • Has good computer skills and attention to detail.
    • Experience in marine electronics, automotive, marine, engineering or technical parts sales would be an advantage but is not essential.
