Cyclone Buildings Taranaki is looking for an experienced, reliable and motivated Builder / Roofer to join our growing team.
Our primary focus is supplying and constructing quality steel-framed sheds, along with house renovations and residential developments throughout Taranaki. We're looking for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in producing high-quality results, and is keen to be part of a small but supportive, hard-working team.
You do not need to know everything already. If you have solid construction experience, a good attitude, and the ability to take ownership, we can teach the rest.

You'll also need to demonstrate:- Proven experience in a hands on role
- Ability to read and interpret plans
- Strong practical problem-solving skills
- Good time management and organisational skills
- A full New Zealand driver's licence
- Scissor Lift, Forklift or any machinery operating experience would be an advantage, but is not essential
About the Role
This is a hands-on position where you'll be involved in a wide variety of projects across Taranaki. You'll work alongside an experienced team constructing steel-framed buildings, and assisting with residential renovation and development projects.
Your responsibilities will include:- Constructing steel-framed sheds and buildings
- Metal roofing & cladding installation
- General building and renovation work
- Reading plans and ensuring work is completed accurately
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and site safety
- Working efficiently to meet project deadlines
- Looking after tools, equipment and company vehicles
