We have a strong pipeline of projects and looking for a superstar Accounts Payable Specialist to support our finance function on a part-time basis as we navigate further growth!
The Role
We're seeking an organised and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to manage our accounts payable function. You'll work closely with our finance and project teams to ensure suppliers and subcontractors are paid accurately and on time, and that our financial records are kept in good order.
This role suits someone looking for flexible, part-time hours who enjoys working with numbers and keeping processes running smoothly.

Good working knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Xero) and solid Excel skills

Core responsibilities:
Process and code supplier and subcontractor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
Match invoices to purchase orders where applicable
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
Prepare and process payment runs
Respond to supplier and subcontractor payment queries
Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records
Support month-end close processes
Ensure compliance with relevant tax requirements (e.g. GST) on payables
Consult with relevant team members to verify invoice accuracy against project budgets
General administrative support to the finance team as required
Bank reconciliations
GST return preparation, with support
Essential:
Previous experience in a similar accounts payable or finance administration role
Competency with Xero, Excel, Outlook, Internet banking
Beneficial (not essential):
Relevant tertiary education
Experience in property development or construction industry accounts payable
