Are you a qualified Automotive Technician looking to build your career with the future of motoring?
Euromarque is looking for an experienced Automotive Technician / EV Technician to join our dedicated BYD workshop in Christchurch. Working 42.5 hours per week in a modern, well-equipped facility, you'll be part of a supportive team servicing New Zealand's rapidly growing range of BYD electric and hybrid vehicles.
Whether you're already experienced with EVs or keen to develop your skills, we'll provide ongoing factory training and support to help you stay at the forefront of automotive technology.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and electronic faults
- Perform vehicle inspections and quality checks
- Complete Warrant of Fitness (WOF) inspections (if authorised)
- Use the latest diagnostic equipment and workshop technology
- Follow manufacturer procedures and health & safety requirements
- Maintain a clean, organised and efficient work environment
To be successful, you'll have:- National Certificate in Automotive Engineering (Level 4) or equivalent qualification
- Proven experience as a qualified Automotive Technician
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- A current WOF Authority is preferred but not essential
- EV or hybrid vehicle experience is highly desirable
- A full, clean New Zealand driver's licence
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well within a team
