    • J J Niven Engineering is a well established mechanical engineering company based in PN. We have a diverse workload which includes Fabrication, Site Maintenance, Machining, and the manufacture of Gantry Cranes & Pressure Vessels etc.

    Our machine shop manufactures for our design builds and services our local customers with a mixture of manual and CNC equipment.

    We have an interesting workload and require an experienced Fitter Turner to work as part of a team.

    Reporting to the Machine Shop Foreman, you will have the following skills:
    • A trade qualification as fitter and turner with a minimum of 5 years experience
    • Strong knowledge and experience using machine shop equipment
    • Ability to interpret drawings
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Ability to work unsupervised
    • Display a willingness to grow your skills and knowledge
    • Good time management skills
    • Have good all round health and safety awareness
    The successful applicant will be offered a remuneration package that will adequately reflect your skill and experience.
