JRL Electrical is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Service Electrician with heat pump experience to join our Christchurch team.
If you're a qualified electrician who enjoys fault-finding, problem-solving, and working independently, this is an opportunity to join a well-established business that values quality workmanship, teamwork, and work-life balance.
Based from our Sydenham workshop, you'll work across Christchurch and the wider Canterbury region servicing residential and commercial customers.

About the Role
This is a hands-on service role focused on diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, servicing systems, and providing practical solutions for customers.
You'll be responsible for:- Electrical fault-finding and repairs
- Servicing and repairing heat pumps, air conditioning and ventilation systems
- Preventative maintenance and breakdown response
- Testing, commissioning and verification of installations
- Providing technical advice and recommendations to customers
- Maintaining accurate service records and job documentation
- Supporting apprentices and junior team members where required
What we're looking for:- NZ Registered Electrician with a current practising licence
- Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience
- Proven heat pump servicing and fault-finding experience
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Full NZ Driver Licence
- NZ Citizen or Resident currently living in New Zealand
Bonus points for:- HVAC, EST or refrigeration experience
- Commercial service experience
- Experience mentoring apprentices
