About the Role
As our Project Coordinator, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our projects are thoroughly planned before construction begins and remain well coordinated throughout delivery.
Working closely with our Construction Manager and Director, you'll manage the flow of information between clients, consultants, councils, suppliers, and site teams to ensure projects progress smoothly from concept through to completion.
This is a varied and rewarding role that combines project coordination, client communication, programme management, and administration with genuine opportunities to make a difference.
What You'll Be Doing:- Coordinate pre-construction activities, including design, consenting and consultant management.
- Manage building and resource consent processes, ensuring documentation is complete and submitted on time.
- Coordinate architects, engineers, surveyors, planners, designers and other consultants.
- Guide clients through selections and ensure decisions are made within programme timeframes.
- Schedule and facilitate project meetings with clients, consultants and internal teams.
- Prepare and maintain project programmes, tracking milestones and identifying potential delays early.
- Coordinate tendering, pricing and procurement information with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Monitor project budgets during the pre-construction phase.
- Maintain accurate project documentation using company systems and Buildertrend.
- Support smooth handovers from pre-construction to the construction team.
- Assist the Project Manager throughout the entire project lifecycle.
- Promote continuous improvement across project systems and processes.
- Support Health & Safety requirements across projects.
What We're Looking For
You'll ideally have:- Experience coordinating residential construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of New Zealand building consent and resource consent processes.
- An understanding of construction documentation and project delivery.
- Experience working with consultants, subcontractors and clients.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software (Buildertrend experience is highly regarded).
- The ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- Excellent organisational, communication and time management skills.
- A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
