Hire Direct Equipment Rental based in Kamo, Whangarei is a local, family owned, and growing company servicing the Northland and Auckland regions as a key supplier of quality, well set-up and maintained equipment.
We have a state-of-the-art covered washbay facility & are now looking to someone to add to our Equipment Cleaning and Maintenance team. You'll be responsible for getting a range of equipment shiny & ready to go again upon return to our yard!
Our successful candidate will need to come from a mechanical / earthmoving equipment background. A full, class 2 and Forklift licence would also be helpful however we can help you obtain these.
We're prepared to pay top rates aligned with the skills and value you bring to the team.
You'll be responsible for:- Processing returned rental equipment daily - cleaning, maintaining & checking equipment to our high standards
- Record-keeping - recording on phone/tablet chargeable details of returned equipment
- Maintaining a tidy wash bay - ensuring cleanliness of workspaces and looking after all washbay equipment
- Parking & storage of equipment around yard
- Communicating with office & yard staff to ensure efficiency/priorities
- Forklift work - shifting trailers & excavator attachments on/off washbay & putting away tidily
- Will be required at times to assist customers around the yard (loading/unloading smaller equipment)

This is a full time permanent position. Standard hours will be 6.30am-5pm Monday to Friday, however this job can sometimes require work outside of these hours.
