For over 50 years, DuCo Windows + Doors have been helping create spaces that people love to be in. From our family-owned workshop in the Waikato, our expert team design, manufacture and install premium quality aluminium joinery throughout the North Island.
We're currently looking for an experienced Lead Installer to join our team in Cambridge.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll take the lead on the installation of new residential aluminium windows and doors, along with replacement and insert joinery for existing homes. You'll play a key role in ensuring every project is completed to the highest standard, while coordinating on-site activities and supporting a building labourer throughout the installation process.
Your responsibilities will include:- Installing aluminium windows and doors on residential building sites
- Delivering exceptional workmanship with a strong focus on finishing detail
- Leading and supporting a building labourer on-site
- Completing preliminary and final site measures for fabrication
- Loading, unloading and handling aluminium joinery during installation
- Carrying out on-site maintenance work as required
- Ensuring all new residential installations meet LBP requirements and completing LBP sign-off where required
To be successful in this role you'll need:- A current LBP (Licensed Building Practitioner) qualification and commitment to maintaining your licence
- Proven experience installing residential aluminium joinery
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing quality workmanship
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to coordinate work on-site
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities
- The physical capability to undertake heavy lifting and hands-on installation work
- A professional, reliable and customer-focused approach
This role would suit someone who has previously run their own building business or worked as a self-employed builder and is looking for the stability of full-time employment without sacrificing responsibility or autonomy. It could also suit an experienced tradesperson looking to step back from running a business while continuing to lead quality projects and mentor others.
