As a Power Technician at Empowered Technical Services, you will become part of a close-knit, experienced team working on a diverse range of projects across the electricity industry. You'll have the opportunity to expand your technical skills, work alongside industry experts, and contribute to projects that help keep New Zealand powered.

Role Description
Main responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:- Installation, commissioning, testing and maintenance of HV and MV electrical equipment.
- Testing, fault finding and maintenance of protection and control systems.
- Substation maintenance, upgrades and commissioning activities.
- Inspection and maintenance of electrical plant and assets.
- Supporting project delivery and planned maintenance programmes.
- Completing technical documentation, reports and test records.
- Maintaining a strong commitment to health, safety and quality standards.
- Providing technical support and maintaining positive client relationships.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:- Experience working within the HV, MV or electrical power industry.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive attitude and commitment to safe work practices.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Relevant electrical or power industry qualifications.
- A current New Zealand driver's licence.
