Supply Services is a NZ-owned engineering business specialising in high-performance plastics and precision-machined components. We're a market leader in a significant growth phase - investing in new machine capacity and building the team to match.
We're looking for an experienced Production Manager to take ownership of our Mt Maunganui manufacturing operation. This is a hands-on leadership role - you'll be responsible for the people, the production, the quality, and the culture across two closely located sites, with strong support from senior management.
The operation you'll run:- A team of 16 machinists, operators, and apprentices across two sites
- 11 CNC machining centres and a range of manual machine tools producing precision components from engineering plastics, composites, and alloys
- Jobbing, short-run, and repeat work across a wide variety of industries and customer applications
- Health & safety, quality, and continuous improvement across all production areas

What you'll be doing:- Team development, performance management, recruitment, and onboarding
- Driving on-time delivery, quality standards, and rework reduction
- H&S leadership - toolbox talks, hazard assessments, and risk management
- Technical coaching and problem-solving on the floor
- Managing contractors, suppliers, and production resources
- 5S, continuous improvement, and regular reporting to senior management
What we're looking for
Ideally, you will:- Have proven experience managing a machine shop or production environment
- Be a confident people leader - someone who coaches, holds others accountable, and builds genuine engagement
- Have expert technical understanding of machining and manufacturing processes
- Have working knowledge of H&S legislation and safe systems of work
- Be organised, data-driven, and improvement-focused
