Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Metal Assembly Pre-Production Worker to join our team.
This is a hands-on role that plays a vital part in supporting our fabrication team by ensuring materials and components are accurately prepared and ready for production. If you have experience in an engineering or fabrication workshop and enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, we'd like to hear from you.
As a Metal Assembly Pre-Production Worker, you will be responsible for preparing steel and components for fabrication, ensuring production runs efficiently and safely.
Your responsibilities will include:- Preparing pre-production cut packs of steel decks for the fabrication team
- Measuring, marking, and cutting steel to specification
- Bending headboards and other components ready for fabrication
- Issuing kits and components to the deck fabrication team
- Operating workshop equipment including cutting, grinding, bending, punch and shear machinery
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised work area
- Ensuring all work meets quality standards and production requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll have:- Experience working in an engineering, fabrication, or manufacturing workshop
- Experience operating cutting, grinding, bending, punch, and shear machinery
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- A commitment to workplace health and safety
- A reliable work ethic and positive attitude
- Pride in producing quality work
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently
- The ability to work well as part of a team
