    The Role

    We are looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager (BDM) to focus on identifying prospects, qualifying them, and then having them commit to joining our services.

    You will report to the Head of Sales and thrive in a fast-moving, relationship-driven environment where your impact is tangible.

    What you will be doing:
    • Running qualified prospects through sales demonstrations, via video calls and or face to face meetings.
    • Performing ongoing follow-up and building relationships with clients from first contact through to commitment.
    • Identifying prospective clients and qualifying them, usually through a phone and video conversation.
    • Generating new prospects through referral calls to existing customers and lead sourcing.
    • Representing Trail within the industry by attending industry events.
    • Keeping our internal customer records up to date, including our CRM (Pipedrive) and invoicing.
    What you'll bring:
    • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management - ideally within financial services or software/tech.
    • A customer-first mindset - you build trust and rapport naturally.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills - you listen deeply and articulate clearly.
    • Results focus with sharp time management and prioritisation.
    • Leadership qualities - you lift the people around you and lead by example.
