Dig & Dump Ltd is a trusted name in residential earthworks and site preparation across Christchurch. We're looking for an experienced and motivated Excavator Operator to join our close-knit team and help deliver quality outcomes on a range of residential construction projects.
If you're confident operating machinery, enjoy working outdoors, and aren't afraid to jump in and support the crew when needed, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role
This is a permanent, full-time position (minimum 40 hours per week) working across residential sites throughout Christchurch.
Your responsibilities will include:- House foundation excavations and site preparation
- Driveway excavation and base preparation
- Landscaping and residential earthworks
- Operating a range of machinery including excavators (1.7T-20T) and loaders
- Assisting with general site duties as required
- Working alongside a supportive Site Foreman and experienced crew
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and workmanship

About You
To be successful in this role, you'll have:- Proven experience in residential groundworks, including foundations, driveways, or landscaping
- Confidence operating excavators and other civil machinery
- WTR (Wheels, Tracks & Rollers) endorsements
- Strong communication skills
- A proactive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
- A strong commitment to Health & Safety
- Pride in delivering high-quality work
