We are looking for an accurate, motivated Estimator to join our team, helping us turn architectural concepts into precise, competitive quotes.
The Role
In this position, you will be the bridge between initial project drawings and our manufacturing queue. You will read, interpret, and accurately price architectural drawings, ensuring our clients receive top-tier technical solutions that fit their specifications and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan Take-Offs: Review architectural drawings, specifications, and structural requirements.
- Pricing & Costing: Utilize V6 software to create accurate Bill of Materials (BOMs) and price quotes.
- Client Consultation: Communicate clearly with builders, homeowners, and architects to clarify design details or offer alternative solutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our production managers and sales team to align quote delivery timelines with factory schedules.
What We Are Looking For:- V6 Expertise: Previous experience utilising V6 joinery software for processing and estimating is preferred, but not needed.
- Industry Experience: Background in aluminium joinery estimation, quantity surveying, or technical building materials would be beneficial.
- Technical Literacy: Strong competence in interpreting architectural plans, structural framing drawings, and New Zealand wind zones.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptionally high level of accuracy to catch design and sizing discrepancies before they hit production.
- Team Fit: Strong communication skills and an attitude geared toward continuous improvement.
