Stratford ITM is a member of New Zealand's largest group of Independent Timber, Hardware, & Building Supply Merchants. We're locally owned and operated and we pride ourselves on providing our customers with great service.
We're currently looking for Pole Type Building Contractors to join our team in Stratford. All of the work is sourced, and materials will be supplied.
You will be working on a variety of tasks including new build of pole type buildings, covered yards, and storm damage repairs.
Previous experience in the Farming or Timber trade would be advantageous, however if you come from a residential or DIY background we'd love to hear from you too as full training can be provided for this type of building work.
Our successful applicants will have:- Previous Building experience or knowledge is essential
- Your own work vehicle, trailer and set of tools
- Be physically fit
- The ability to work in a team and unsupervised
- A positive, can-do attitude, and a sense of humour
- A full drivers licence
This is a self-employed contractor position where you will be responsible for your own tax, ACC, GST, and Health & Safety.
