  • Demac 26 Ltd is seeking a Factory Manager to lead day-to-day operations at our busy sheetmetal and fabrication workshop in South Auckland.

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone ready to take their next step into factory leadership, and take ownership of workflow, quality, and team performance. You will plan and oversee daily production, ensuring fabrication work is completed efficiently, on time, and to our high standards.

    As the frontline leader you'll manage and mentor a team of three welding and fabrication technicians, managing their day-to-day functions, providing practical guidance and supporting ongoing development.

    Sheetmetal and fabrication quoting experience is a must, or it is easy to pick up for most people from a metalwork background. Procurement and supplier liaison is key, and a current welding certificate is preferred.

    You will have good communication and strong interpersonal skills for coordinating with staff, walk-in customers, our existing customer base and management.

    Ideally you will be a fully qualified welder or experienced sheetmetal workshop technician, and you'll be comfortable working on the tools when required and leading by example.
