We are preparing for future growth and to help us on the journey we're looking for a capable, people-focused Project Manager to join our team and take the lead for all our on-site operations.
What You'll Be Doing:- Leading all landscaping construction projects from handover through to final completion.
- Managing multiple project crews, subcontractors, and suppliers across concurrent sites.
- Programming labour, materials, machinery, and resources to ensure projects run efficiently and on time.
- Overseeing project budgets, labour performance, variations, and margins to drive strong commercial results.
- Managing site quality control and ensuring all works are delivered to Busy Lizzy Gardens' expected standard.
- Building strong professional relationships with clients throughout the construction process.
- Leading site health and safety systems, compliance, and risk management.
- Mentoring and managing field team leaders to create a high-performing projects culture.
- Working closely with the sales team to ensure accurate handovers, clear communication, and successful delivery.
- Identifying operational improvements and systems that strengthen efficiency as the projects division grows.
What You'll Bring:- At least 3 years' experience in a senior project delivery, construction management, or similar leadership role.
- Strong practical knowledge of both hard and soft landscaping construction.
- Proven ability to manage multiple crews and multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong scheduling, programming, and resource management capability.
- Excellent people leadership skills with the ability to build accountability and team performance.
- Good commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, labour costs, and project profitability.
- Strong understanding of New Zealand health and safety legislation and site compliance.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence managing both staff and clients.
- A hands-on, solutions-focused attitude and the ability to lead from the front.
