  • HR Jones & Co Ltd is a respected joinery and building company that has proudly serviced the wider Manawatu region for more than 80 years. Built on quality workmanship, reliability, and strong long-term relationships, we are now seeking an experienced Office Administrator to become an important part of our team.

    This is a trusted and varied position suited to someone who enjoys responsibility, accuracy, and being at the centre of a busy, well-established local business.

    About the Role

    You will play a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of the office, supporting both internal operations and customer service functions.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Reception and front-of-house client liaison
    • Accounts administration and invoicing
    • Payroll processing
    • Showroom assistance and customer support
    • General office administration and coordination
    • Supporting management with day-to-day business operations
    About You

    To be successful in this role, you will have:
    • Proven experience in office administration
    • Confidence using MYOB for accounts and payroll
    • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
    • Professional and friendly communication style
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
    • A reliable, proactive, and trustworthy approach
    Knowledge of the Construction Contracts Act and payment claims processes will be highly regarded. Previous experience in construction, trades, or a similar industry preferred.
