  • Joblin Engineering is a busy, hands-on general engineering workshop based in Rolleston. Since 2017, we've built a solid reputation for quality work across mobile welding, custom fabrication, and manufacturing.     The Role

    This is a practical, get-stuck-in role with plenty of variety. You'll be working across fabrication, repairs, and new builds - often needing to think on your feet and solve problems as they come up.

    Day-to-day work includes:
    • Fabrication and custom builds
    • Repairs and modifications
    • MIG and TIG welding (including stainless and aluminium)
    • Structural repairs and product improvements
    • Factory maintenance and general workshop duties
    What we're looking for

    We need someone reliable, capable, and ready to contribute from day one.

    You'll have:
    • At least 2 years' experience in both welding AND fabrication (heavy fabrication preferred)
    • A relevant trade qualification or AS/NZS welding certification
    • Strong MIG and TIG welding skills (stainless and alloy experience a bonus)
    • The ability to read plans and follow instructions accurately
    • Good attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
    • Your own tools and reliable transport
    • A full, clean driver's licence
    • Experience operating a forklift
    • The ability to pass drug and alcohol screening
    • The legal right to work in New Zealand
    A Site Safe passport is a bonus, but not essential.
