Brewer Builders Limited is a locally owned and operated building company in Christchurch. We focus on all aspects of building work including new builds, multi units, townhouses, alterations, renovations, extensions, fit-outs, repairs and maintenance work and house re-levelling.
We are seeking a Qualified Quantity Surveyor with experience working in the NZ construction environment to join our dedicated, passionate and enthusiastic Team.
This is a crucial role for the business, we are looking for someone who is able to demonstrate a proven ability in:- Understanding construction details and methodologies
- Liaising with clients, consultants and subcontractors
- Cost controlling for all projects such as; renovations, architectural new builds, multi units, townhouses, extensions, alterations, fit-outs, custom made joinery, as-is-where-is lift/repairs, multi dwelling new builds, home refurbishments and light commercial strengthening work.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):- Studying architectural and engineering drawings and specifications to estimate total costs, and preparing detailed cost plans and estimates as tools to assist in budgetary control.
- Ensure that the financial position of construction projects is accurately reported and controlled effectively and contractual relationships are managed.
- Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjusting budget projections accordingly. Assessing effects on cost and measuring, valuing and negotiating variations to designs.
- Liaise with the Client and other construction professionals, such as Site Managers, Project Managers and Site Engineers.
- Prepare and resolve monthly applications, invoices and payments according to deadlines.
- Support the Construction Manager in the commercial and residential aspects of the business.
- Provide assistance managing projects according to contractual obligations.
- Familiarise and use BuilderTrend to full potential.
