General Marine Services (GMS) is a proudly New Zealand-owned company with over 32 years of experience supporting boat builders, marine engineers, DIY owners, and superyacht professionals. From our busy Westhaven store, we supply fluid-handling and engineering solutions that keep vessels operating safely and efficiently.
We're looking for an Experienced Inventory Control Clerk who loves focusing on maintaining inventory accuracy through counting and data analysis. The ideal candidate has a passion for tracking and auditing stock levels, ensuring accuracy between physical inventory and digital records.
Key duties include performing cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, update databases, and coordinate with procurement to prevent shortages or surpluses
About You
You'll also be an excellent communicator who can listen, explain technical details clearly, and build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:- Strong spoken and written English with confidence interpreting technical information.
- Highly organised, detail - oriented and proficient in data management with strong numerical skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily inventory tasks efficiently.
- Great people skills and a friendly, professional manner.
- The ability to stay organised and calm during busy periods.
- Solid computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Eligibility to live and work in New Zealand.
