Level Headed Construction is looking for a reliable Builder (or an experienced apprentice) to work directly alongside the owner across Wellington and the Hutt City. We specialise in residential construction and offer a wide variety of work including additions, alterations, renovations, underpinning, and everything in between - so you'll get great exposure across the trade.
This is a small, hands-on operation, so you'll be working closely with the owner day-to-day. It's a great opportunity to be part of a growing business, have real input on site, and learn directly from an experienced builder while working across a range of projects.
This is a full-time role (40 hours, Monday to Friday) with an immediate start available. Pay ranges from $25-$35 per hour depending on experience. We run organised, professional sites with a strong focus on quality workmanship and good relationships with clients and subtrades.

We're ideally after a qualified builder, but we're also open to an experienced apprentice who has already started their apprenticeship and is keen to continue developing their skills. This role will suit someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of small tight-knit team.
What we're looking for:- Experience in residential carpentry or currently progressing through a building apprenticeship
- Own transport and basic tool kit
- Physically fit and reliable
- Well-presented and communicates well on site
- Professional attitude and a respectful, tidy approach to work
This is a wages position (no contractors), ideal for someone looking for consistency, variety, and a chance to grow with the business.
