Solar Power NZ is a growing Christchurch-based company helping electrify Aotearoa through high-quality solar installations. We work across residential and commercial projects, including microinverters, string systems, batteries, and off-grid setups.

About the Role
This is a hands-on role installing solar PV systems, batteries, and EV chargers across Christchurch and surrounding areas. You'll be part of a skilled crew delivering high-quality installs, with variety in your day-to-day work and opportunities to grow your expertise.
Occasional out-of-town work is required (away allowances provided).
What you'll be doing:- Installing grid-tied and off-grid solar PV systems
- Installing battery storage systems and EV chargers
- Working collaboratively with the team to deliver smooth installations
- Communicating professionally with customers onsite
- Problem-solving and contributing to continuous improvement
- Ensuring all work complies with NZ electrical regulations
About You
We're after a qualified and reliable Electrician who takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a team delivering high-quality solar installations. You'll be someone who shows up prepared, works well with others, and is keen to keep learning and improving in a growing industry.
To be considered, you must demonstrate:- Current NZ Electrical Registration and Practising Licence
- Minimum 2+ years post-qualification experience
- Full driver's licence
- Working at Heights and Site Safe certifications
- Comfortable working on roofs and physically fit
- Detail-oriented and quality-focused
- A reliable team player with a positive attitude
- Motivated to learn, grow, and potentially step into leadership
It would be an advantage if you have:- Solar and/or battery installation experience
