Supportive and creative work environment

We're looking for someone at the very beginning of their design journey who wants to properly learn window treatments from the ground up, not just observe from the sidelines. This is a hands-on training role where you'll start with the fundamentals and build real, practical skills inside a busy design studio.
If you're willing to start with the detail-focused work, we'll teach you everything from measuring and site support through to client consultations and completed installations.
You'll begin with foundational, detail-heavy tasks such as measuring, recording, and site support. These behind-the-scenes skills are where strong designers are built, and they naturally lead into more client-facing and design responsibility as you grow.
About Us
Comber and Comber Interiors is a full-service design studio, retail hub, and concept store offering interior design, window treatments, home staging, and curated furniture packages.
Our space brings together design and retail in one place, giving clients a fully immersive experience from inspiration through to execution. Our Drape It team specialises in custom window treatments, delivering considered, tailored solutions that enhance each space.
We focus on thoughtful design, precise workmanship, and delivering a smooth, well-managed experience from first measure through to final installation. We're a fast-moving, collaborative studio where detail matters, standards are high, and no two projects are ever the same.
What you'll be doing
You won't be stuck on coffee duty. You'll be involved in:- Supporting client consultations and learning how to recommend window treatment solutions
- Attending site visits and assisting with measuring and documentation
- Learning how to prepare accurate information for quotes and installations
- Working alongside our Design Team on live residential projects
- Building product knowledge across fabrics, blinds, curtains, and shutters
- Developing confidence in client communication and follow-ups
- Getting exposure to how a full design studio actually runs day to day
What we're looking for:- A genuine interest in window treatments, curtains, blinds, or interior styling
- A Certificate in Interior Design (or currently completing one)
- Strong people skills and a willingness to learn, grow, and be trained from the ground up
- An eye for design with an interest in fabrics, colour, and interiors
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly when measuring, recording, and transcribing information from site visits
- Someone keen to start at the very beginning and build their skills step by step, from crawling to walking to running
- A team player who can also take initiative when needed
- Full, valid driver's licence
