Olivers Engraving & Trophies is a well-established centrally located Christchurch business. We produce trophies, custom awards, badges, medals and plaques for a number of businesses, clubs and schools across the Canterbury region.
We are looking for someone to join our small team in an engraver / customer services role.
This is a permanent role Monday-Friday, 8am - 4:30pm.
This job would suit a person who has experience in the engraving industry previously, or someone with a willingness to learn a new skill and who enjoys a hands-on multifaceted role working as part of a small team, doing both customer services duties along with production of engraved products for our clients.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:- Run / Operate both manual and computerised engraving machines (including Laser Engraving)
- Answer and process all in person, telephone and email enquiries promptly and efficiently
- Provide effective and professional communication between yourself and the customer
- Gain a good understanding of the product and services that you are offering customers
- Complete jobs accurately to production schedule and customer requirements.

- Good computer skills (any design knowledge would be a bonus)
- The ability to work to a pre-determined production schedule
- Excellent attention to detail & accuracy
- A high level of initiative and self-motivation
- To think outside the square and apply good problem-solving skills
- Able to analyse and understand customer requirements before starting each project
- A good balance between working independently and being a contributing member of a team
- Strong communication skills
