  • We are looking for a warm, professional and energetic Qualified ECE Head Teacher to join our experienced team at Twizel Early Learning Centre, based in Twizel, Mackenzie. This full-time, permanent position (35 - 40 hours per week) offers the chance to be included in a dynamic team while delivering high-quality education. Your role will include programme planning, assessment, and maintaining strong relationships with tamariki, whanau, and the wider community.

    We are a well-established community based Early Childhood Education Centre, offering high quality education and care in a safe and stimulating, play based environment catering for up to 39 tamariki aged from 3 months to 6 years of age.

    As our Head Teacher, you'll guide the daily programme, support kaiako, and ensure a warm, safe, high quality learning environment. You'll bring strong knowledge of Te Whāriki, confident leadership, and a genuine commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and bicultural practice.

    • Strong programme planning and assessment skills
    • Calm, empathetic leadership and confidence mentoring others
    • Sound knowledge of ECE regulations and high quality practice
    • The ability to build positive relationships with whānau and our wider community
