Affordable Drainage is a leading drainage company based in Henderson Valley.
We are currently seeking a proactive and highly organised Health & Safety and Project Administrator to take ownership of our compliance, documentation and project administration functions.
This is a key role within our operations team, supporting Project Managers and Directors by ensuring projects are safe, compliant, well-documented, and efficiently administered from start to finish.
About the Role
This dual-role position is responsible for:- Owning and managing Health & Safety systems and documentation
- Coordinating project administration and compliance documentation across live and completed projects
You will be the central point of contact for Health & Safety and project documentation, working closely with Project Managers, site teams, engineers, and external parties to ensure all requirements are met accurately and on time.
This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in either Health & Safety or Project Administration. Experience in both is an advantage, but not essential - training and support will be provided to develop capability across both areas.
Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety Administration:- Prepare, maintain, and manage Site Specific Safety Plans (SSSPs) and client-specific H&S requirements
- Manage incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions through to closure
- Coordinate annual reviews of the company's Health & Safety Manual
- Manage PreQual and external compliance systems (e.g. SiteSafe), including renewals and documentation
- Prepare and document toolbox meeting content, discussions, and actions
- Coordinate training and licence requirements for staff and contractors
- Continuously improve H&S systems, documentation, and engagement
Project Administration:- Prepare and issue pre-construction documentation to engineers and external parties
- Create, maintain and manage as-builts, PS3s, and CS3s
- Coordinate BCO inspections, underground service locates, and CCTV requests
- Upload, maintain, and manage all project and H&S records in AroFlo, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Support Project Managers with scheduling or administrative tasks when they are on site
- Act as a key point of contact for engineers, clients, and surveyors regarding documentation and information requests
About You
What We're Looking For:- At least 2 years' experience in Health & Safety and/or Project Administration
- Understanding of New Zealand Health & Safety legislation and compliance requirements
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Confidence using systems such as AroFlo, Microsoft Office, or similar platforms
- Ability to take ownership, follow tasks through, and close out actions
- Construction or drainage industry experience is highly desirable
