    Forever Green is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Landscape Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in pricing and securing a wide range of commercial and residential landscape construction projects across Canterbury.

    The Role

    As our Landscape Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive project pricing while supporting the wider delivery team.

    Your responsibilities will include:
    • Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
    • Interpreting plans, specifications, and contract documentation
    • Measuring and quantifying materials, labour, and resources
    • Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing
    • Identifying risks, opportunities, and cost-saving solutions
    • Supporting Project Managers with budgets and project planning
    • Maintaining accurate records and documentation
    • Assisting with value engineering and alternative solutions
    • Contributing to continuous improvement of estimating systems and processes
    • Involvement in current projects, managing suppliers, and pricing variations during construction
    About You

    You're analytical, organised, and have a strong understanding of landscape construction. You enjoy working through the detail and take pride in producing accurate and well-considered estimates.

    You will bring:
    • Proven experience in quantity surveying / estimating within landscaping, construction, or civil works
    • Ability to work in with our project managers, clients, and suppliers at tender and during construction
    • Strong knowledge of hard landscaping (paving, concrete, timber structures, earthworks)
    • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
    • High attention to detail and accuracy
    • Strong time management and organisational skills
    • Confident communication and the ability to build relationships with suppliers and clients
    • A proactive and solutions-focused mindset
    • Full Class 1 driver's licence
    Highly Regarded (But Not Essential):
    • Experience with estimating or job management software (e.g. Simpro)
    • Quantity surveying qualification
    • Horticulture or landscaping qualifications
    • Knowledge of local suppliers and subcontractors
