    With continued growth in our business, we are looking for a motivated and reliable Stonemason / Factory Hand / Polisher to join our Christchurch-based team.

    About the Role

    You'll be part of a skilled team specializing in the fabrication and installation of granite and engineered stone benchtops and products. This is a varied, practical role where no two days are the same.

    Location: Christchurch
    Hours: Minimum 40 hours per week Monday - Friday (Saturdays when required)
    Employment Type: Permanent, full-time
    Pay: Competitive hourly rate based on experience and skill level

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Collect and handle granite slabs according to specifications
    • Apply templates and polish stone to a high-quality, millimetre-perfect finish
    • Set up, adjust, and operate machinery and tools
    • Identify and resolve machine faults or maintenance needs
    • Ensure templates and measurements are accurate
    • Cut, shape, and polish stone using both machines and hand tools
    • Fit and shape stone for custom or irregular spaces
    • Repair and maintain stone products and materials
    What We're Looking For:
    • Experience with tools and machinery relevant to stonework
    • Physically fit and able to handle heavy materials
    • Previous factory experience (ideally with granite benchtops)
    • Ability to read plans and work accurately with measurements
    • Full driver's licence
    • Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential)
    • A positive attitude and strong work ethic
